11:57 a.m. - 2010-02-02 I have to say that i am inspired by one of the characters from Glee! ![]() Gone are those complex eye make-ups with fanciful colour and all the effort to blend all of it together. Maybe due to the increasing age, i opt to look younger and deny the numbers! HAHAHA! ![]() To achieve this look, it’s essential that your skin is well moisturized to achieve the dewy look. For the eyes, go for beige and brown. Apply a beige eye shadow all over your lids to brighten up the eye and brown on the crease to create a definition to your eye. For the under eye, line the waterline with a white eye pencil (i’m using rimmel’s) as this will make your eyes appear bigger. Draw your eyeliner close to your lashes and draw it according to your appropriate eye shape. Be generous with your mascara to achieve those sexy fluttery lashes. Probably a coat or two of a voluminising mascara will do the trick. To add more radiance, use a shimmery light colour (i’m using shimmering pink from Majorlica) under your lower lids. This will instantly perk your complexion making your looks dazzling and fresh!
So choose a pink blusher (I’m using body shop’s) and apply it on the apple of your cheeks all the way up on your cheekbones. You can also use a highlighter (i’m using silky girl’s) below the eye and above the cheekbones to have the healthy glow to my face. Keep your lips pink and simple with a hint of gloss. And you’re good to go!
0 comments 3:55 p.m. - 2010-02-01 Well my dear darlings, i will be doing a review on it right this very moment! (Exaggeration to the max!) It says “The dewy gel can remove even waterproof makeup. The keratin-clearing ingredients balance the skin's cycle of renewal, and enhance clarity. Tissue off for a silky-smooth finish, or rinse off with water for a moist finish!” Here’s how the product looks like. ![]() Be generous and dot your face with the product and in a circular motion, spread the product onto your face, allowing it to dissolve the make-up. Once all the make-up is dissolved, you can either choose to wash it off with water or wipe it with a tissue. I tried both method and here’s what i have to say. Splashing water is like trying to remove grease from your face. It doesn’t work and your face feels like wax! So no, splashing water does not help to remove anything from your face. Next method, wipe your face with a clean piece of tissue. Surprisingly, whatever gooey stuff on my face is easily wiped off and whatever thick foundation and powder that i use for the day is swept away with just a few swipe. ![]() Face does not feel dry but moisturised and soft! I like!!! After wiping it clean, i will take another piece of tissue, wet it a little and gives it another swipe say bye-bye to whatever make up and dirt on my face. And here’s a note. Please do not use those thick tissues that you use in the kitchen to absorb the oils from your cooking as it’s too harsh for your skin. Opt for a soft facial tissue instead. My ratings for this particular product; a 7.5 out of 10. I still feel that L’Oreal make-up remover is still the best that i’ve tried so far. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
First of all, i love the ambience. Don’t know why but it just reminds me of an Ikea showroom. LOL! ![]() Love how everything looks so simple and it’s like being in a modern cottage!
We tried the chocolate cake and it’s really addictive! ![]() Cake is soft and moist and the chocolate is rich but not too bitter! And the price tag is cheap too especially if you go for the package which is a cup of coffee and a slice of cake of your choice for only SGD 9.90! We will definitely drop by again for sure! It’s a great way to chill and just enjoy quality time with your loved ones. *bliss* 0 comments 3:08 p.m. - 2010-01-27 This month, there are so many things to get. 1. Moisturizer For the foundation, i decide to stick on to what i’m currently using which is the Revlon Colourstay Foundation. I think this is my 4th bottle and i totally love it! Actually i wanted to try Canmake Concealer Foundation which is selling at selected Watson stores for i was impressed with the coverage but i don’t really like using 2 way cakes for various reasons. One of it is because it finished off really fast! The other reason is because it can look really cakey especially during the later part of the day after you’re done with blotting your face. As for moisturizer, i wasn’t really satisfied with the BodyShop seaweed mattifying moisturizer so i decide to change them this time. I went from one shelf to another, testing them to my heart’s content and decide to settle for L’Oreal Hydra-fresh, Anti-Shine. ![]() It’s selling for about $20.90 per bottle. I love how the moisturizer is easily absorbed into your skin. No greasy feeling and your face don’t feel as though they are weigh down by it. ![]() The smell is so refreshing too! For make-up remover, i’m actually pretty loyal with L’Oreal Elixir Concentrate Ultimate Make-Up Remover but they did not stock up on that at my place so i took this opportunity to try something new. This time, i would like to give ZA CleanseMax Double Cleansing Gel a try. ![]() It claimed that it could dissolve your make-up fast and thorough and nourished your skin with the much needed vitamin E as well. I’ve yet to give it a shot since yesterday i was make-up less but i’ll definitely use it tonight and i’ll tweet the results. HEHE! And speaking of make-up remover, i was trying on this sample make-up remover from Bio Essence known as Hydra Water Soluble Olive Cleansing Oil. I was hoping that this could be a good make-up remover based from the way they describe it on the magazine but my-oh-my! If you were to ask me to rate it from 1 to 10, i will give it a 1! Solution felt like oil that you have to spread all over your face and make-up does seem to be dissolving. My only problem with it is removing it. It says that once in contact with water, the oil will turn milky which you then have to wash off your face. I was practically splashing and rubbing my face off to remove all those junk from my face! And worse of all, you feel as though your whole face is plastered with oil that are just so stubborn and decide to call your face their home sweet home! Can you imagine how clogging that is for your pores! *horrors* I quickly used my deep cleansing foam to wash my face to remove any trace of oil. Ewww..
![]() What i love about it is it feels totally moisturized on your lips! I have dry lips so most of the time i always stick to gloss but this lippie sure change my mind. The one that i bought was in shade 005 and it’s actually a faint pink with a hint of gloss. ![]() And with all that, i also purchased my t-zone peel off mask, 2 whitening mask from Garnier and 2 more mask from SkinVitals to combat the breakout that i’m currently having. Total bill comes close to $100. *gulp* We celebrated the departure of one of the most annoying, rude human being that we have ever known! It was a night filled with gossips (I’m sorry god) and recaps of how that human being really make our blood boil. And that is being done by having a jolly good time pigging out at Seoul Garden with the people that matters. ![]()
I’m going to miss my “glamour” job and for sure i’m going to miss all the good friends that i’ve met throughout my 3 short years with them.
Where am i going? Let’s keep it hush for now. HEHEHE!
0 comments 3:32 p.m. - 2010-01-19 I’m sorry but the dust seems to be soooo thick as i’ve done my famous magic act of all time, which is the disappearance act. To be honest, i have so many things to share but i’ve been procrastinating about logging on to the PC and even if i did, i end up playing games on Facebook rather than doing what i’m supposed to do. HEHE! First of all, i receive a very brilliant idea from one of my readers to leave the links of all my make-up reviews so that people could come back anytime and read it. Thank you so so much! I have no idea why i never thought of it. My brain must have been sleeping all this while. LOL! As i slowly patch the link up, please feel free to drop by this space to check it out if it’s completed. I’m sorry if i’m moving at a tortoise pace but i realized that i’m really doing everything that i’m required to do at a tortoise pace. In fact, i think tortoises are way faster. I’m probably moving at snail pace. HAHA! And before i forget, i would like to thank Hannah Talent for selecting my picture as one of the 20 favourite pictures. *blush* And since i’m staying all the way in Singapore, i can’t attend the photoshoot but of course i’m honoured that the chance was given to me. Next time maybe they can include flight ticket and accommodation for overseas participants? HAHAHA! And next, my make-up review which i have kept so long in the cupboard. Ok i’m exaggerating on that part. I don’t think a week is too long. HAHA! ![]() I came across this website selling cosmetic for a very long time but i just didn’t know why i never once order from them. The page is called Mascara Page and you can check out their page by typing http://mascara-page.blogspot.com. I ordered 2 NYX jumbo pencils (Ice Mocha & Cottage Cheese) and the Maybelline dream mousse eye shadow (Ivory Illusion). The NYX pencils are so creamy! I totally love it as it’s so easy to apply and the colours are totally pigmented! To add my utter fascination to the product, it was sold at such a cheap price! The only bad thing that i have to say about it is that it tends to crease on your lids after a while, especially if you have very oily lids. I also ordered the Maybelline dream mousse shadow and i really love how it feels on your skin. Once you gently swipe on your lids, it dries almost immediately and there’s no sticky feeling at all. Package was delivered to me just few days after ordering and all of my precious make-ups are wrapped carefully to prevent the items from getting damage. Nice.....
Though i love the idea of not having an oily skin for once, the dryness felt really uncomfortable and it felt as though i used botox and my facial muscles felt so tight. Not that i ever have any experience using botox in the first place. So hubby was looking for some of his stuff at Watsons and i decide to get some stuff for my deprived skin and decided to get the Evian mineral water. It’s a small bottle which cost about SGD 5 and it claim to moisturize, refreshes and tones your skin. It’s very simple to use and you can use it as often as you want. I used if after removing my make-up or even after i put on my make-up! Now skin feels more supple and less flaky. =) I also chance upon the new lip balm from Maybelline. It comes in 3 different colours which is strawberry, cherry and mandarin. I bought the mandarin and i feel that on my already red lips, the colour looks too strong for my liking. Among all those giddy moments from buying all those cosmetics, i am actually facing with a very distressful situation. For god knows what reason, huge, painful pimples keep popping on my face and it only seem to be coming out on my left cheek! Even if i be good and don’t squeeze them, it still leaves a very ugly, red and glaring mark on my not so very pale skin. Feels like crying you know! I went to Watsons (again i know but i’m a member you see) to look for a cream to help with the fading of those ugly scars and decided to go for Ginvera Intensive Whitening Spot Corrector. I’m hoping badly that this works. I also changed my facial wash since i feel that my current deep pore cleanser makes my skin feels really dry. For the past few days, i’ve been using SebaMed Clear Face Anti-bacterial Cleansing Foam. ![]() It smells really nice! If you ask me, i think it smells like coconut oil and vanilla! Yummylicious! And when you pump it out, it’s basically all foams and all you have do is massage your face with those foams and leave it on for 5 minutes before washing it off! Your skin will thank you for that because it’s so gentle that you don’t feel like you’re washing your face! HAHA! When i first tried using it, i keep asking myself if i’m doing it right because i feel that if i’m not scrubbing, my skin is not clean but after washing it off, my skin feels totally clean! There’s no sticky feeling or dryness but just clean skin. I’m crossing my fingers that this product will work its wonder and that i can stop those painful red invaders from popping onto my face. If this really works, i won’t mind trying the rest of their products. One thing left me wondering. What’s the difference with the foam and the cleansing bar? Is the foam enough as your daily cleansing ritual or you need to use together with the bar? I tried to read it up but honestly, there’s no explanation at all. Anybody know? 0 comments |
