10:28 a.m. - 2012-05-17 It has been such a long time since i did a make-up review didn’t i? I realized that most of my reviews lately were on skincare products. HAHA! Anyways, have you guys heard that Revlon just launched a new series of foundation called the Revlon Phototready Airbrush? Well i chance upon it during my daily visits to Watsons and was so excited about it and decided to give it a try. ![]() Compared to my favourite Revlon foundation which is the ColorStay foundation, this was $1 cheaper and you can also purchase their primer which is also under the photoready collection. To be honest, i really hate this foundation! HAHAHA! At least for people who have oily skin like mine, i would say, never ever buy this foundation. It only makes you look like a mess! 1st bad thing about it is that it’s so card to control the pump and most of the time, you pumped out more than you really need. So that is a waste and foundation is not cheap for you to go around wasting it every single time you use it you know. Oh and when you pump it, it looks like those foamy bubbles and you can simply flatten it with your fingers before you apply it to your face. ![]() And by the way, i’ve tried the different methods and the best way to apply this foundation is using your fingers. I’ve tried applying it with a wet and dry sponge and the coverage was really pathetic. 2nd negative point is that unlike colorStay, this foundation tends to slide on you face and even with primer, it looks really patchy upon application. By noon, you realized that your whole face looks a mess and you just wish to wipe your face clean. Matters are made worse if you have oily skin so if you have oily skin, don’t waste your $29.90 to get this foundation. 3rd, if you don’t have flawless skin, don’t bother k! This foundation contains tiny shimmers which only make your blemishes more visible instead of hiding it down. Yeah, so don’t say i don’t tell you. HEE! And lastly, if you have fair skin, please be informed that the PhotoReady airbrush only comes in 4 colours and the lightest shade which is NUDE is too dark for those of us with fair skin. And this foundation oxidize really really fast, making you only look even darker than your actual skin tone. When i applied this foundation, it looks like i had a tan because the colour is so brown and if you all must know, i have very light, yellowy skin. And since i hate this foundation so much, i don’t even bother to take a picture of me with it since it’s just a sloppy mess. HAHA! So i hope this short entry helps and right now i’m actually eyeing for the Vichy Dermablend foundation. If any of you knows where i can purchase the Vichy Dermablend foundation or if you want to sponsor me (HAHA!) please feel free to email me at faragerl@hotmail.com. 0 comments 5:10 p.m. - 2012-05-03 I have heard my friends who claimed that this product works wonders and even if you go on YOUTUBE, there are tens of reviews on the product and most of them are really positive ones! So here’s one more review to add on. Behold the MARIO BADESCU DRYING LOTION! The purpose of this product is to actually dry your pimples without aggravating your skin. Mostly it consists of a high dosage of salicylic acid and calamine lotion. ![]() I suppose the salicylic acid is to kill the bacteria and dry out your zits while the calamine lotion somehow soothes the skin. The smell is horrible! HAHA! I’m so used to products that are heavily induced with perfume and what-not that i am absolutely pampered! That despite the fact that i know having fragrance in your product does not really help if you have sensitive skin as it might just make it worse, so to each his own. So, let me be honest. If you expect your pimple to disappear overnight, that i supposed your expectations are way too high. It does in a way dry up your zits faster compared to you doing nothing to it but it sure does not go away overnight. Especially if you have those big nasty ones, please give it some time before it totally flattened out. Or it could be that my skin are way too stubborn! HAHA! A bottle cost me about $45. Not sure exactly how much Sephora is selling theirs. Anyway, my skin is going through some rebellion of some sorts and small zits keeps popping out for god-knows-why! I guess this product is going to be put to good use to get rid of those nasty-ugly-good-for-nothing pimples that just refuse to go away even at my not so young age. Oh, by the way, i bought the item from LUXOLA and obviously i absolutely love the service that they provide. Fast and item reach to me safe and sound within 24 hours! If you would like to know more details about the service rendered by LUXOLA, please read my previous reviews. =) 0 comments |
